Sweat It Out

Why Our Sauna Setup is the Best: The Firelight by SaunaSpace + Our DIY Cotton Canvas Tentt

Our goal was to create a sauna experience that’s truly rejuvenating, non-toxic, and beautifully simple. Our setup strikes the perfect balance between high-performance technology,  natural materials, and Zen River’s signature serene, grounding aesthetic.

We proudly have the SaunaSpace Firelight at the heart of our sauna system. It’s a cutting-edge near infrared (NIR) therapy light that delivers deep, targeted heat using zero EMF, incandescent bulbs that have been specially designed to mimic the warmth and lighting of a campfire. Unlike other saunas, which rely on synthetic materials and electronics, the Firelight offers clean, full-spectrum warmth that supports detoxification, circulation, muscle recovery, and cellular health. It’s designed for daily use — with hand-crafted quality, flicker-free light, and the therapeutic power of incandescent red light.

We’ve paired it with a cotton canvas tent, made from 100% natural, breathable materials. Unlike synthetic tents, our sauna tent is chemical-free and moisture-resistant, creating a warm, toxin-free environment that enhances the benefits of NIR therapy.

Together, they offer a powerful, non-toxic sauna experience — no EMFs, no plastic, just pure, natural heat in a space that feels as good as it looks.

What To Expect

Before the Session:

  • Hydrate well. Drink plenty of water beforehand to avoid dehydration.
  • Clothing: Most people wear a swimsuit or go in with a towel or robe.
  • No heavy meals: It’s best to avoid eating right before the session.

Entering the Sauna:

  • Our sauna operates between 110°F and 140°F (43°C to 60°C)—cooler than traditional saunas, but you’ll still sweat.
  • You’ll be in a private room  with calming lighting, music, and optional aroma therapy.

During the Session:

  • Sessions can last 20 to 45 minutes.
  • You may feel a gradual warmth that intensifies—infrared heat penetrates the skin, raising your core temperature directly.
  • Expect to sweat a lot, often more than in a traditional sauna, despite the lower air temperature.
  • It’s a dry heat, so the air won’t feel steamy.
  • Relax, meditate, or listen to music—most people find it calming.

After the Session:

  • Cool down slowly. Sit or lie down in a cool area to allow your body temperature to normalize.
  • Hydrate again. Replace fluids and electrolytes.

Post-session Effects:

  • You might feel relaxed, energized, or even sleepy.
  • Mild lightheadedness is common if you overheat or didn’t hydrate enough.
  • Regular sessions support relaxation, muscle recovery, and skin health.
